A school year has come to its end! I am not sure if the word “thank you” to all the teachers is enough! For nearly 2 years, every morning, we used to come, entrust our little daughter to you and you raised her for us!!! You helped her spread her wings more and more every day and become stronger and stronger!! And, all of a sudden, now, she is ready to fly!! I don’t know if I can trust other teachers again to raise our child! It is going to be extremely difficult; that I am sure of. Miss Joanna, Miss Panayiota, Miss Irini and Mrs Agapi! This is how Marizoula will always remember you!

Thank you for teaching them how to stand on their own two feet and be confident… Thank you for teaching them so naturally, through play, to love the English language so that at the age of 3, my child can play at home having “dialogues in English”! Play & Learn has already become our school! A small, family school, cosy and simple. The people that constitute it are cheerful, honest and knowledgeable. A beautiful, school experience starts there and the educational process is simple, with observation, play, exploration of their selves, the place and the other children; the new friends. I think that one of the first words children learn there in English is “friends”. I personally absolutely adored the manager (Agapi Liapaki) since our first meeting and she continued to prove her love to me for what she does but also for her professionalism during lock-down and, consequently, after the schools opened, by frequently organising online updates and discussions. The important thing about this school is that it motivates us adults too: it pushes us to become better parents (e.g. Marte Meo seminars), become better citizens (e.g. recycling materials for projects), become better with our selves (positive thinking). These are all simple things but important. There are many more but you can learn these from the teachers. George and I, but mostly Mihalis, unreservedly recommend Play & Learn!

I can only say positive things about the Play & Learn preschool:
- The classes have a small number of children.
- The children can adjust nicely and smoothly – in the presence of the parent for as long as needed.
- It’s got a natural yard where the children can play freely and come into contact with the natural environment.
- There is quite a lot of free play and very nicely-organised activities from the teachers.
- The teachers help the children become self-reliant, independent and free focusing at the same time on the different needs each child has.
- English is approached in an experiential way.
- There is good communication with the teachers and the manager and they are always willing to listen and respond to the different demands of the parents.

We thank the whole family of Play & Learn soooo much! I’ve been trying since this morning to think of and write what we feel and I just can’t find the right words. The thing is that we’ve been through so much together!!! To begin with, it was the petty problems that children have and teachers find the opportunity to start discussions about and magically turn them into educational moments during which the children learn how to express, feel assured that they can talk about them and resolve them. By themselves! So, they become independent and confident about themselves and they grow happily within themselves! And so many happy moments!!! Our kid would come home from school happy every day, having spent hours of play, drawing, laughter, activities! We have adjusted to difficult circumstances. We have grown up together, we’ve learnt together, we’ve acquired experiences and we have treasured them in our hearts. I’ve asked Dimitra a lot of times how her last day was and whether she is sad to leave this school. And you know what? She had a great time on her last day and she’s very happy to move on. She’s glad because she somehow knows inside her that the love she received at this school, along with the moments, the experiences and the emotions she experienced, will always be with her to bring her joy and stability in her subsequent steps. We thank you for everything that you give our children. I wish you carry on with this lovely project and “keep growing” with the children that come your way and you give them the same happiness you gave to us.

We learnt more significant lessons from the children than they learnt from us. They filled our lives with their insouciance and spontaneity, their laughter and concerns and we thank them deeply as well as you, the parents. You have lovely children. Together, as a team, we loved and were loved by each other and this is what I remember and have treasured in my heart since my first year at Play & Learn, our second home.
